Hi there all students! September is here, which means saying goodbye to summer with all its amazing adventures and returning to school! I am a final-year marketing student and starting courses next week too, and I have to say I am pretty excited to see all my mates, learn some more, and get my degree soon. I have gathered a few great tips for you that I use all the time and support me a lot that will help you prepare for success too and thrive in your new academic semester!
Get Organized

Let’s start with the fundamentals because organization is the key to success. Get yourself a
tool that will organize your life better than you could. I use Notion, and it’s such a game-changer. It offers task management and project tracking and even has a to-do list. Things like due dates, tests, birthdays, and anniversaries should be noted down (it’s not all about study). Keep things straightforward and remember you are here to learn.
Prioritize your Time

Learn to say ‘No’ to your friends sometimes when they ask you to hang out/party every weekend. Remember that sleep is your best friend and you will need all the rest you can get before the exams start. Set priorities for your obligations, and don’t be afraid to say no to invitations if you need to spend time studying. Your true friends will understand and wait patiently to spend quality time with you after your exams.
Embrace the library

I love spending time with my fellow students in the library, this should be your haven whether you’re a bookworm or not. It’s the perfect area to study and brainstorm surrounded by the fantastic smell of old books and your favorite authors and subjects because it’s peaceful, resourceful, and quiet. Also finding that one book that will make your essay appear outstanding is also very fulfilling. Therefore, make yourself at the library!
Become a Master at Managing your Time
The hidden talent you’ll need to perfect is time management. Use apps such as Smarter Time, Time Tune, and Time Planner, get a decent planner, and schedule your days carefully. Break up your efforts into smaller, more achievable chunks, such as writing a paragraph instead of writing the entire essay. Although it might seem the hardest thing to do, avoid procrastination by getting things done, and you will succeed!
Make the most of the Resources Available on Campus

From getting help with research and assignments from your professors to interview prep and CV-building assistance from the employability team, make sure you are showing genuine interest in your curriculum and your studies and make the most of all the resources available to you while on campus.
Join a Club or Volunteer

While we are still students and we are still learning, we should make the most of these years and be like a sponge for information. All universities offer lots of extracurricular activities, from joining a chess club (for example) to volunteering in the local market, all designed to build new skills, provide social opportunities, and enhance your future employability while giving you a well-deserved break from studying.
Remember to Call Home
University life may involve a wide range of emotions, from homesickness to happiness after passing an exam or sadness if you don’t get the best mark. Remember to call your family at home and tell them everything about your experiences. I still talk to my family every day, even though I have been away since I was 19. Your family will love hearing about your new experiences, and it’s a great way to keep a close relationship with them.
Stay Healthy

The best way to succeed in your exams is by staying healthy. Try to have an active life and follow a balanced diet so that you have all the energy needed to pursue your dreams and graduate! I find yoga (I use apps like DDPY and Simply Yoga) and running a great way to de-stress and find some inner peace.
Embrace failure

Let’s keep in mind that university is about more than just awards and medals. It is also about stumbling, falling, and getting back up. Failure is a part of life, and it’s the unexpected turns that add character to your path. Accept lessons from your errors and keep going.
Conclusion
I hope all these tips will make your next semester at university easier and help you overcome the stress of all the exams coming your way. Just remember to make friends, have fun, and create some great memories while studying hard and trying your best to be top achievers. Have a great semester you beautiful people!
