General Facts

In 1902, the wealthy merchant Ferdinando Bocconi founded a new university in Milan named by his son Luigi, who passed away prematurely. Thus, Luigi Bocconi University became the first university in the peninsula to offer a degree in economics. The path towards excellence had started. 

Bocconi is a world leading university ranked for Business & Management studies (7#) and Finance (14#) by the QS World University Rankings; but it is also a renowned institution for Law and Political Science. It offers 11 bachelors (8 in English), 18 masters (17 in English), MBAs and PhDs. 

The annual fee for a bachelor’s degree is 12,883 euros, but there are various financial aids such as ISU Bocconi Scholarship, Bocconi merit and international awards, loans for students and special grants for athletes.

Furthermore, Bocconi is a truly international community, with outstanding students from more than 90 countries around the world. There are also language programs that can advance your communication skills.

How does the selection work? Information on admission

Bocconi’s admission process is highly selective (30% at bachelor) but don’t worry, Dreamando’s team is here to help you.

These are the application sessions:

–        Early Session: 17 May – 24 June

–        Winter Session: 15 November – 25 January

–        Spring Session: 23 March – 14 Apri 

You would have to seat for the Bocconi admission test and the applicants selection would be based on the following elements:

It is also possible to participate with the official SAT or ACT tests, but the University doesn’t provide any official score range to be accepted.

Activities

One of the students’ cohort main features is their diversity, in terms of geographic, academic and cultural background: this variety is a great asset and provides a consistent motivation for exchange and debate. This is channeled and embraced in the different student associations:

Regarding cultural activities, the agreement with ISPI allows Bocconi students to approach to the knowledge of geopolitical dynamics of the current international scenario. (Winter School ISPI)

Furthermore, the “Round out your knowledge” interdisciplinary courses are opportunities offered to Bocconi students to enrich their cultural backgrounds on topics not related to economics and law.

Finally, thanks to collaborations with CSV Milano (the Volunteer Services center) and the student association Students for Humanity, students can engage themselves in social and charity activities.
