Test scores- GRE/GMAT/SAT/CAT/IELTS/TOEFL
Each college has certain cut-offs for particular examinations: for the EDHEC, the average GMAT score is 600+, the average GRE score is 313, and the average IELTS score is 6.5-7 (check according to your school of choice).

SOP (statement of purpose)

A Statement of Purpose (SOP) is a personal essay that summarizes a person’s academic and professional objectives, aspirations, and driving forces. It gives applicants a chance to highlight their skills, experiences, and justifications for choosing a certain course of study or professional path. Consider the following important factors when developing one for yourself:
- The start: Start off with a strong beginning that grabs the reader’s attention and showcases your excitement for the course, and school. Talk a bit about yourself and explain from where the thought of pursuing this course has evolved. Do not forget to support each explanation with a solid backstory. Describe your educational background, including any relevant degrees, coursework, research projects, and accolades or prizes you may have received.
- Professional Experience: Talk about any work experience, internships, or other exposure to the industry that you have had in your chosen sector. Be sure to highlight your newfound abilities and knowledge and how they have helped you develop as a person and become ready for academic or professional pursuits.
- Future Goals: Describe your medium- and long-term objectives, as well as how the course or position you’re applying for will help you get there. Describe your desired experiences, expertise, and skills in detail.
- Personal Motivation: Describe the passions and personal motives that led you to your chosen field. Describe how your experiences, background, and/or personal events which influenced this choice.
- Fit with the Program: Explain why the program you are choosing is a good fit for you! Discuss how their course offerings, staff, facilities, or values complement your own.
- Restate your passion while summarising your main arguments to leave an impact.
Always remember to customize your SOP to each individual application, highlighting your special talents and proving that you are genuinely interested in the program. Grammar, spelling, and general coherence should all be taken into consideration when you write.

Basically, Business schools ask for 2 LOR, while some prefer to ask for only one. Do not forget to check your desired school’s website and keep things clear.
Letter of Recommendation (LOR)
An individual who is familiar with the candidate well, such as a professor, manager, or mentor, may write a Letter of Recommendation. LORs offer a third-party assessment of the potential, character, and skills of the applicant. Here are some important factors to think about.
Select the Appropriate Recommender
Choose a speaker who can discuss your abilities, successes, and prospects in a situation that is appropriate. This person should ideally have first-hand knowledge of working with you or managing your academic or professional endeavors.
Provide Relevant Information
Give your recommender the necessary information about the course or position you’re applying for, along with your CV or resume. This will enable them to comprehend the traits or competencies they should emphasize.
Strengths and Accomplishments
Request that your recommender concentrates on your noteworthy strengths, accomplishments, and distinctive attributes. They must give specific instances and anecdotes that highlight your skills and potential.
Personal Qualities
Your referees should also discuss your personal traits, such as leadership, teamwork, communication abilities, honesty, or any other qualities pertinent to your application.
Comparative Analysis
If at all possible, it can be useful for your recommender to make comparisons between your skills and potential and those of other people they have met in similar situations.
Letter Format
In accordance with the standards, LORs must be typed on business letterhead, bear the recommender’s signature, and be delivered directly to the designated recipient.
NOTE: some colleges will send a direct link containing questions that have to be answered by your recommender.
