THE INTERVIEW
Hi Liliana! Can you briefly tell us something about yourself and your journey to DreamanDo?
I’m from Italy and moved to the UK at age 17 to continue my studies in an international school context (an IB school) before studying at UCL – University College London, the University of Bologna and St Petersburg State University. I worked in the international organizations sector in the past before following my heart into teaching. I currently manage the DreamanDo Languages team.
How did DreamanDo come to life?
I’ve known Ciro since our senior high school years in Cambridge, where we shared the experience of studying and living in a new country, which entails happy and difficult moments. We dreamt of a project like DreamanDo for years, until Ciro made it happen. I co-founded DreamanDo with my input for the Languages stream!
What are some of the things that you value in DreamanDo?
The feeling of community; of not feeling alone while taking up a new challenge, be it a new language, a study abroad experience or a job abroad.
What is one thing you want to achieve within the company?
I would like to create a strong languages team and, at some point, contribute to our study abroad stream.
Do you have any advice for people wanting to study/work abroad?
Follow your gut feeling – always!
